This was a good year for me – I won the Worlds (finally)! I’ve had many seconds, thirds and fourths, so it was a great feeling to finally persevere! I also took second last year in the US Masters and have won it twice before. I won the Florida State Champioships this year, as well. Our Club, The Miami Disc Golf Club, gave me a tournament this year, The Randy Beers Classic, (Millennium made us discs to sell with my photo on them, did you see? Hilarious!) quite the honor and a very progressive group of people that are always doing something to improve our 6 local courses and the Club. I am a woodworker by trade and am always using my hands to make something, but it has led to hand injuries and “trigger finger” issues over the last couple years which has affected my game. I hope to be playing the Worlds again this year and the US Masters. I have always used Millennium Discs going back to John Houck days and he gave me a small sponsorship back in the day, as well. I have been able to have many of the guys in the Club use many of the Millenium products over the years. We have also had a local tourney with only Millennium products.
Favorite Millennium Discs:
Quantum JLS – I use the QJLS often, extremely consistent, and reliable without much falloff to the right or left, enable proficiency in straight shots.
Long Straight and Long Fade are always in the bag along with the Scorpius and Quazar.
Omega SuperSoft – it has been my Putter for 20 years.
Falcon – it has been a welcome addition to the bag and most of the guys in the club now carry the Falcon!
