Hello, I’m Darren Eck from Boyertown, Pennsylvania. I started playing disc golf in 2006 as a senior in high school. I was a very casual player until 2014 when a friend asked if I wanted to join a league. That’s when I decided to really get into disc golf and I joined the PDGA in 2016.
It was around 2015 when I was given my first Millennium disc, an old Polaris LS. It was the first disc that actually did what it said, which was fly long and straight. That was enough to convince me to play smart, keep it simple, and throw Millennium.
The Polaris LS is still my favorite disc to throw. The straight flight allows it to really hold the angle it is thrown on, which is needed in the woods of PA.
