Millennium Wraps a Fun and Successful Holiday Season

Posted on

Millennium had an exciting holiday season by sponsoring two tournaments, while several members of our sponsored team had some impressive results.

The fun began the week before Christmas when the Taylor Park Disc Golf Club in Largo, FL threw a “Merry Millennium” holiday-themed event as part of their weekly handicap. Over 80 players showed up to play in the event and each participant received an Omega putter with a customized club logo on it. The Kitchen brothers from Team Millennium were at it again. This time it was Jake Kitchen who took the crown while cashing in his first career ace, and turning in the best raw score of the day. The event concluded with a massive Ring Of Fire of which Dylan Livrago won the spoils. Top finishers by division are listed further below.

Then over the first weekend of the new year, our newest teammember Chris Farnham took home the win on the heels of a 1000 rated final round at the First Chance Points event of the Throw the Line Tour in Grand Prairie, TX.

Meanwhile Millennium was a sponsor of the annual Tocobaga Games B-Tier at Maximo park, waterside in St Petersburg, FL. It was a beautiful weekend for disc golf, and our very own Austin Elmore fought back with a nice final round to finish in 3rd place in the Advanced Men division.

It was a fun start to the year, and we’re looking forward to an exciting year in 2015.

NEW RELEASE: ET and Lunar Omegas

Posted on

Millennium is excited to announce the release of the new ET plastic and Lunar (Glow) plastic premiering in the popular Omega mold.

ET plastic is a rendition of our Millennium Standard plastic and has an extra tacky feel that provides a confident grip in all weather conditions. ET plastic is durable and wears-in slowly, but what makes this plastic blend so special is that it feels like a well-seasoned disc right out of the box. Old school Omega AP throwers will love the feel of these new Omegas. The ET plastic is also available in the Omega Big Bead putter, as well as a Lunar (glow) Omega.

Millennium has released a couple of Limited Edition glow discs in the past, but the Lunar Omega SuperSoft is the first full stock release of glow-in-the-dark plastic – just in time for night golf during the hot summer.

ET and Lunar Omegas began shipping last week. Ask for them at your favorite disc golf retailer.

First Run DT Omega Hitting Stores Now

Millennium fans have been clamoring for a super-firm Omega for years. That day has come with the release of our new super-firm plastic, Delta-T (“DT”).

“Delta-T” is a precise measurement between Universal and Terrestrial time…and it’s also the name of Millennium’s new baseline plastic. DT offers a super-firm feel, making it the most rigid of baseline plastics on the market. Currently offered exclusively in our popular Omega molds, beginners and pros alike now have the ability to work-in a firm version of their favorite putter. DT’s combination of grip, rigidity, and affordability is what makes it truly timeless.

The First Run DT Omega features a Millennium bar stamp, and began shipping last week. Ask your favorite retailer for the new DT Omega.

Three First Run Discs to Release for Am Worlds

Posted on

Millennium Golf Discs is celebrating Am Worlds with the release of three First Run discs. The Quantum Taurus, the Quantum EXP X-Wing, and the 2.1 DT Omega Driver. All models are available now for wholesale orders, and dealer website and retail sales are to release as soon as July 19th. Millennium Golf Discs will be at Am Worlds and will have all models, along with the rest of our line, available at the Flymart.

First Run Quantum Taurus

4|4|0|4

The Taurus is an overstable mid-range disc that fits a perfect middle ground between Millennium’s classic mids: the Aurora MS and Sentinel. This disc is a beefy, wide diameter, torque-resistant bull, just like the constellation it’s named after. This beaded, power mid will sustain lines without turnover and it always finishes strong. Players will depend on this beast’s predictable fade and trust its control in a headwind.

First Run Quantum EXP X-Wing

7|3|1|4

The EXP started as an experimental driver in an attempt to give players more speed and harder fade than the trusty Polaris and JLS drivers. The result of this experiment is a power fairway driver that will handle any wind condition. It’s overstable nature makes it an excellent choice for both sidearm and backhand shots that need a sure fade. The EXP is now available with an X-wing configuration for the first time in Quantum/Luster plastic.

The QEXP is also available in blanks for tournament and fundraiser stamping purposes.

2.1 DT Omega Driver

3|2|0|2

The original “Call John” Omega driving putter has received a modern-day face lift. The classic microbead Omega putter is now available with a flat (3) top which gives the Omega Driver faster speed, more distance and fade than the tried and true original Omega – making it a great option off the tee. The Omega Driver is designed for short to mid range aggressive drives and upshots and the microbead touch will give players more confidence in the circle during windy putts.

The 2.1 Omega Driver is available in a bottom-stamped DT plastic, and available for tournament stamping, and custom disc golf stamps.
